A Retreat for Mom

Recharging...

Carolina’s space was more than just a room - it was a place where exhaustion and worry weighed heavy. As a mother navigating the unimaginable, she needed a retreat, a space that offered comfort, calm, and the ability to breathe again. We knew this transformation had to be about more than just design; it had to be about restoring a sense of peace in the middle of chaos.

Even mothers like Carolina, who devote themselves to caring for a loved one with cancer, deserve a space of their own to rest, heal, and find peace.

Imagine being a mother, raising your child on your own, working hard to get back on your feet. Then, one day, your child tells you that walking feels difficult. Concern turns into heartbreak when you learn the reason - osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer.

Through unimaginable hardship, love remains the guiding light. Angels of Light collaborated on this beautiful project to create a retreat - a sanctuary of healing, hope, and renewal for a mother who has given everything to her child.

Carolina’s favorite color is purple - a symbol of strength and devotion - so we infused her space with a field of blooming love.

Her room wasn’t just a place to sleep; it needed to be a retreat - one that offered comfort, calm, and the ability to breathe again. With warmth and intention, we transformed it into a sanctuary, infusing it with soothing tones, thoughtful storage, and elements that provided a sense of peace. Every detail was chosen with love, creating a space where she could rest, recharge, and find moments of stillness in the midst of the storm.

At Love House Foundation, we know that healing isn’t just for the patient - it’s for the entire family. Through spaces like Carolina’s, we bring comfort, dignity, and hope to those who give so much of themselves to others. Teaming up with Angels of Light was an incredible experience, as we came together to transform this space with both heart and hands. Their generosity went beyond a donation - it was volunteers showing up, ready to make a difference. We hung curtains, assembled furniture, placed pictures on the walls, and poured love into every detail. It was a beautiful team effort, one that will bring happiness, warmth, and lasting memories as Carlos and Carolina heal and step forward into the future.
